Ohio licensed dentists are reminded that the Chair of the Law and Rules Committee of the Ohio State Dental Board has called a meeting of the Sedation/Anesthesia Guidelines Working Group. The meeting will take place on January 5, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m. The meeting is open to the public and will be held on the 31^st floor of the Vern Riffe Center for Government and the Arts, Room East B, 77 South High Street, Columbus, Ohio.

Topics expected to be covered include:

1. categories for anesthesia/sedation permits based on current nomenclature and classification;
2. continuing Education Requirements for renewal of anesthesia/sedation-related permits; and
3. guidelines for Conscious Sedation/IV Sedation/General Anesthesia.

This meeting will provide dentists with an opportunity to learn first hand how the rules / guidelines regarding Sedation/Anesthesia are evolving. It will also enable dentists to know how and when they can offer their input regarding the forthcoming rules / guidelines.
